Mill Workers & Environs

Documentary photographs of New England textile mill workers, and the mill villages and mill cities the industry built around them.  The core of this collection was made 1973-1977, then supplemented with more recent photographs.  The images are primarily black and white, with some recent color.  “The Run of the Mill” is the book, and “With These Hands” is an archival limited Edition portfolio of 9 worker portraits.
